Involvement with Skating & Qualifications
Coaching since 2001
Certified Free Skating Rating, Certified Moves in the Field Rating, and is Hockey I & II Certified. Sarah has finished a Level I Free Skating apprenticeship with Helen McGrew.
Coaching Philosophy
My coaching philosophy is to inspire my students to be the best that they can be on and off the ice so that they can take the values they learn from skating—respect, responsibility, goal setting, time management, and so on—with them their whole life.
Coaching Contract Rate
$40.00 per hour
Additional Comments for Skaters and Parents
Sarah has passed her Senior Moves in the Field, Intermediate Free Skating, and her Blues. She has been skating for 14 years with 7 years of competition experience; including medaling at a regional championship. Sarah has 7 years of coaching experience as a private instructor. She has a minor in dance from Kent State and teaches ballet for skaters.
She currently teaches Learn to Skate, gives private lessons to KSC members, and teaches ballet for skaters.
Sarah has a BM in voice performance from Kent State & also teaches Kindermusik. She lives in Stow with her husband Ben.
